The opportunity here is the ever increasing desire to ride a mountain in the freest manor possible. Surfing is the first documented board sport to ever exist and ever since people have been recreating that feeling in every way possible. Out of surfing came skateboarding in the 50’s and by the 60’s came snowboarding. Snowboarding has been practically the same ever since using the same style boards and the same binding mechanisms to keep the rider attached to the board. A new trend in snowboard is inspiring snowboard shapers to design snowboards to more closely  mimic a surf type feel. Some people have even been bringing back old school original boards that have only a rope connected on the nose of the board to keep the rider attached(no bindings). The opportunity and the unmet need here is to create a board that allows for the ultimate ‘surf like’ experience on the mountain. final refection

Looking back, although most of the work in this class contained elements of drudgery or even dread, overall I think it is a very well formatted out class that could only use a little tweaking if any. I enjoyed assignments like the customer avatar and the other various assignments that helped in narrowing down one’s objective. Overall I felt like the class structure was very methodical. My most formative memory in this class was probably when we were discussing the future for our potential endeavors, this was especially joyous because it had me dreaming of future possibilities. Also I really enjoyed writing the post about failure and why it’s so important in life. When I started this class I already looked at myself as an inventor and a potential entrepreneur which was my main reason for taking this course. The completion of this course has definitely expanded my mind on the meaning of entrepreneurialism. For anyone taking this class during the summer semester I woul...
