Customer Avatar

My customer avatar most specifically is someone who is well versed in many board sports, especially in snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing. An avatar for this idea understands aspects from all three of these sports allowing them to incorporate the core principles from each which are needed to properly ride a board of this nature. An avatar for this idea would be able maneuver and carve the board  like they are surfing, while also being a able to spin and flip the board like they are skateboarding. With this being said I believe even novice to intermediate snowboarders would be customer avatars and would still be extremely excited about a product like this. Perhaps someone who has never been snowboarding and knows only  how to skateboard, surf, ect. may be a customer avatar as well. In conclusion my customer avatar is truly just someone who enjoys board sports, and whether or not its true, we all know the many stereo types that come along with this description.

  1. Hi John,
I think you did a great job identifying your custom avatar and describing them well. I really liked how you went into detail about what kind of skill as an athlete they would need, and how the customers could range from expert/ advanced to being a novice. You did a great job at knowing who your customer is which is really important. My only suggestion would be to include a picture so the reader can get an idea as to what they customer may look like. Other than that, I think you did a great job!

  2. Hey John,
You've drawn your ideal buyer - even without the photo. A few details you could add would be income, job, and experience. Would you consider marketing this product to novices to win people away from skiing? Odd to think about since skiing and snowboarding are two established parallels, but I have a feeling it could be done.
