Reading reflection 3

What surprised me the most about Steve Jobs was that he went to Atari to practice Zen meditation and learn about Hinduism, I new the he had experimented with LSD and even attributed his success to it, but I was surprised to learn he had a passion for Eastern culture.

Steve Jobs was passionate and highly intellectual person, who had a great sense of stick-to-itiveness. He was also an extremely innovative thinker.

It was confusing to me that Jobs seemed to be such a spiritual man but was so cruel to so many people that loved and supported him and disrespected people he was working with.

If I could ask Jobs any question I would probably ask what his experience with Zen and other forms of meditations, as well as his experimentation with drugs was like and how it contributed to his success, and then I would want to get into talking about technologies with him.

I absolutely think Steve Jobs values hard work simply due to the amount of hard work he put in in order to  launch his first companies.

  1. Hi John,
I like how you read the Steve Jobs book. I wanted to read it but truthfully, it was way too long for my taste and knew I would never actually read the whole thing like I should. I love Apple products thought so I bet it would have been a very interesting tale to know about. Good Post!
